    Ninja / IB problem or what ?

    This morning I had no end of trouble . Opened Ninja > opened a group - every
    thing loaded fine . Then I did a manual connect to IB . When finished one chart had nothing on it and others where just missing indicators . After 3 tries
    to get it working ( close NT , restart NT , reload charts and manual connect to IB ) no joy . Broke down and did a clean re install of NT . That seemed to
    fix the problem . This was early in the morning . A few hours later I decided to
    do a demo connection to a different brokerage . Closed the connection to IB
    > changed the license key > added the new connection and got up and running just fine . Then decided to switch back to IB . Changed license key....
    etc . The same thing happened that happened earlier this morning . Missing
    data > indicators . Jesus . Closed NT > changed the license back to AMP and
    all is working fine . Maybe it's a sign from God . Sure am getting tired of IB .10 more minutes of rant . <sniped>

    Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

    Can you please check your log in the Control Center and see if there were any errors when the issue occurs while connecting to IB?

      There are some things shaded in yellow ? LIke
      Market data request was rejected :unknown instrument (TF 12-08) and
      ER2
      The same for AMP and IB

      There is one additional in IB :
      IB:IBSocket.ReadString:Attemptd to read or write protected memory .
      Oh and one other :
      Max number of tickers has been reached 101 :
      Odd .
      I only ask for 2 or 3 tickers .

        I beleive the max number of tickers is your issue. IB is denying the data for the charts and they are not coming up.

        -Go to File --> Workspaces and close all workspaces so you only have default open.
        -Try opening the workspace with the issue.

        This means you are pulling too much data from IB at one time. Please remove instruments from any Market Analyzers you are using, reduce the number charts and SuperDOMs you have running, and reduce the number of tickers you have up in TWS. Then shut down NinjaTrader and TWS, wait 10 minutes for your data status to change with IB, and then retest.

          All I can say is that wouldn't account for this morning . I shut down every
          night and this morning Ninja requested 2 tickers and the TWS had a total of
          5 . There was one chart that was set to 100 days . This hasn't been a problem in the passed ,but maybe IB thought it was 100 tickers .I don't know
          ??? and things went down hill from there . I've used one other software where this crap on the IB side caused endless problems . IB is more concerned about serving itself then it's customers .

            Thank you for your feedback.

            Please let me know if you receive the error with just one workspace open.
            -Also check in TWS that there are not instruments requesting data.
