Unfortunately NT on Mac is not supported at this time. We have if on our list for future considerations though. May be the community could help out?!?

I'm working also with Mac and Vmware. The message looks like, that the the hostname (thats one that parallels had created not had a directly connection thru the internet.)
Did you have NAT in Paralells enabled ?

Josh is running some tests on Mac with parallels and hits the wall with the same problem as the original poster.

@razorbuzz: Unfortunately we are no Mac experts. Could you please elaborate on that "NAT" thing? Thanks in advance

          Hi,

          Hi there,
from my side of view, NT cannot connect directly thru Inet.
You have to enable NAT in Parallels, or better use VMWare. It's lot faster than Parallels.

From scratch: Can you connet thru Inet by a "normal" windows firefox , just using & browsing a website ?

If yes, and NT not, than disable the Firewall in Windows: System preferences- security - firewall. or: except Exceptions

If not, you don't have a connection from mac to parallels. for this you have to enable NAT ( in paralells )
          see screeny:
          check connected
          check Using network from mac

          rest check nothing.

I'm using VMware with winxp sp3. the following programs works perfect for me:
esignal, NT ;-) , Marketpro, and the rest of the windows world.

          any question don't hesitate ...

NinjaTrader 6.5 here with VMWare Fusion on a basic white MacBook.... works like a charm....

maybe it's the Parallel program that's causing the issue?

              Kind Regards, Ken

                Hi guys,

On VMWare are you guys using the Shared Folders features? Linking your MAC OS X Documents folder to the Windows My Documents folder?

Yes, I'm using the shared folder to move stuff around. I've also been able to drag n drop between desktops....

                  regards, Ken

                    Ken,

When you go to your Vista virtual machine do you have two My Documents folders? I am interested in what you have here for the Documents folders since that folder is critical for NT use. In Parallels what seems to happen is two My Documents is created instead of a proper mapping of the Mac's Documents folder to the Windows one.

I'm not using Vista at all, but just a version of XP with as little nonsense on it that I can. It works pretty well.

I have one Shared folder that shows up on the XP Desktop, allowing me to get things off the mac side quickly and easily.

                      Regards, Ken
