    Hello Natagustin,

Thank you very much for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

This error indicates that NinjaTrader is not able to access its own files.

The most common reason for this is the "Controlled Folder Access", as this blocks NinjaTrader from accessing your Documents folder.

Further information on how to disable this feature or add NinjaTrader to the exception list may be found at the publicly available address below:

Please also ensure NinjaTrader has been added to the exception list of any internet security suite (e.g. Norton) or cloud backup provider (e.g. OneDrive), as these services can restrict NinjaTrader's access to its files, resulting in this error.

Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions or if you experience any issues in tracking down which application is causing this.

    Thank you for choosing NinjaTrader!

I have done everything described in the article and it still gives me an error, maybe I am doing something wrong that you think?

        Hello Natagustin,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Could you send us your log & trace files? I'd like to take a closer look at what might be causing this error. To do this, please follow the steps below:
        • Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
        • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder
        • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email:
          • support (at) ninjatrader (dot) com
        • Please also include a brief "ATTN Manfred" note in the ticket
        • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders
Thanks in advance; I look forward to resolving this item!
