eSignal historical data is automatically imported for you when you create an eSignal connection: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_esignal.htm
-You should be able to backtest from this.

Thanks RJ, With esignal it seems I have to use their continuous contract to display older contracts. I did setup the fdax##-## in NT but esignal does not fill the chart. Any idea how to import my saved esignal data?

-If you are asking about the text file, use the link from my last post on importing data. You will have to edit the eSignal data to be compatible with NT.
