I kept my ninjatrader running on a server (simulated account) for 3 days trying to see how robust the automated trading is. This morning coming into the office i saw an error message which had popped up. I cannot close this message box, though it seems the application in the background still works...probably lost the connection overnight.
Now my question is:
1.) Is there a way to "save" my running strategies? Say i set up 10 strategies to run on autopilot but then whenever i close the application (even after saving the workspace) after a restart i have to set up (add to the strategy tab or restart them on the charts) all of them once again.
2.) How would i proceed if my strategy were not to exit any position at close but to hold them. If i had to restart ninjatrader the strategies and the broker account would be out of sync (as mentioned here on the forum in other places). Will NT7 be able to re-sync with the broker account automatically? Or do i have to manually close any open trades so as start with a clean slate?
