Im building a new pc next year, been trading off a duo core laptop computer with 1.5 gig and i get bogged down in high volume situations and get lag on order confirmations with a frozen dom for several seconds at times. I run MP and Delta footprint and regularly have 10 charts in a workspace. Can someone please tell me what specs i need to have built in so I have optimum preformance? plan on running 3 or 4 monitors. also I used to be able to run 2 computers at the same time, one as a back up and that nolonger seems to be possible why is that? amp futures is broker.

NinjaTrader 6.5 does not supports multi core processors, this will be supported in NinjaTrader 7. Its beta version is expected to be released the first quarter of 2009.
You can find the minimum requirements at the link below.
The general rule applies, more PC resources will allow NinjaTrader to request more resources and thus data.
You should be able to install NinjaTrader on a second machine. Can you please tell me what issues you are experiencing on the second machine.
