    TT Connection

I am a new NT customer. I have purchased a live license, purchased TT credits and set up my connection. When I connect, the control center states that I am connected to the TT feed. But when I open up a static Super DOM there is no option for me to select my account. It still states "Sim 101" which is greyed out. I am unsure whether my connection is set up right or what I am doing wrong please help.

    Hello,

Please allow NT to access the internet in your firewall settings and confirm that you have Global Simulation Unchecked in your Control Center under File.

Also be sure you have your live license entered into Help>License Key, then restart NT to validate the license.

I checked all of my settings, allowed program through fire wall and unchecked Global Simulation.
I still get Sim101 in the account field but now it is black as opposed to being greyed out. My connected indicator in the bottom left corner of the control panel is in orange. Should this be the case?
Do I need to send an email to sales telling them to enable my static Super DOM?

        Hello,

The orange color means you are connected to either the price server or the order server but not connected to both, which you should be.

Unfortunately NinjaTrader does not dictate when a connection is lost. It operates like a radio receiver in that it receives a signal from your broker and then displays/reports these signals back to you the trader. When a connection is lost, it is the broker's API that determines this and reports this to NinjaTrader which in turn reports this back to the trader.
The common problems that contribute to this are:
        - ISP issues
        - hardware firewall issues changing IP addresses frequently
        - Dynamic ISP address switching the address frequently intraday. Usually this happens once a week but you may want to check with your ISP. If they do change daily, a static IP address may work.
        - With Windows XP SP2, if you have more than 10 open TCPIP socket connections open (10 programs making connections through the internet) windows will randomly shut down some connections
        - Broker servers having problems
        - Satellite and wireless connections

          Ben,

It was my error. I put in all the info for the connection EXCEPT for my ACCOUNT INFO. I am all set now and everything is working fine.

At first I thought it was my operating system because I use Windows Vista 64-bit. So I decided to recheck my connections and I saw that the account section was blank.

          Thanks For the help.

            Hello,

You are welcome to try using 64 bit, but it is not officially supported:
