NT 7 simulation mode

NinjaTrader 7 simulation doesn't work for me. After connecting to Market Replay Connection the clock is running but the charts are not moving.

'Simulation' and 'Market Replay' are two different
things. I'll try to address both.

First, it's Sunday morning, the markets are closed.

The Simulated Data Feed honors the session
template hours, so when the markets are closed
on the weekends, the default template supplied
by <Use instruments settings> provides no data.

Solution:
Set your Session Template to 'Default 24/7'.

In your chart window,
Right click -> Data Series -> Session template

For Market Replay ..

Have you downloaded the Market Replay data for
the contract you want to see and the day you want
to see it?

Is your Chart set to show the same contract?

Today is Sunday, April 16,2023.

Last Friday was April 14th, 2023.

Which Friday are you wanting?

Just to clarify, is this for NT7 or NT8?

If you want to download Market Replay data for Fri, Apr 14, 2023,
for the 'ES 06-23' contract, try these steps,

--NT7--
CC -> File -> Utilities -> Download Replay data
In the 'Download Replay Data' dialog:
Type: <Default> or Future
Name: ES 06-23
Date: 4/14/2023
Click OK button

--NT8--
CC -> Tools -> Historical Data -> Load tab
Click 'Get Market Replay data'
Select instrument, date
Click Download button

As bltdavid said, the Simulation data feed and Market Replay are not the same thing.

The Simulated Data Feed connection is a default connection installed with NinjaTrader. Its purpose is to play internally generated market data for simulation. To use the Simulated data feed connection on Sunday, you would need to set the Data Series trading hours template setting to 'Default 24x7'.

Market Replay is the ability to record market data and replay it at another time. NinjaTrader provides synchronous replay of any and all recorded markets and delivers this market data to all NinjaTrader windows as if it was happening in real-time.

To use the Market Replay connection, you would need to download the Market Replay data that you want to use by going to Control Center > File > Utilities > Download Replay data. Enter the Data Type, Instrument name, and date you want to download data for. Note that you are only able to download 1 day of Market Replay data at a time.
