I can't install Ninja Trader7 and 8.

When I try to install, I get the following error message.

”The installer has insufficient privileges to access the directory.
C:\Users\user\Documents\NinjaTrader7. The installation cannnot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your administrator.”

This is my personal computer, I am an administrator and have all permissions, but I cannot install.

To prevent this error from occurring, please make sure the folder location into which you are installing NinjaTrader has Full Control permissions for either the Everyone group or the SYSTEM group.

• Navigate to the root directory mentioned in the error and then right click on this folder and select "Properties"
• In the Properties window, click the Security tab.
• Click the Advanced button.
• Click the Edit button.
• Scroll down the list of Permission entries and double-click the SYSTEM user.
• Select the checkbox for the Full Control row in the Allow column and click OK. Repeat steps with the Everyone group (if it exists).

After this has been completed, please try reinstalling NinjaTrader again.

Thank you for reply. I changed the access rights, stopped the virus software and installed it again, but the same message appeared again. What should I do?

Are you able to install NinjaTrader if you try a different Windows user account?

If you perform the same instructions for the Documents folder instead of the Documents-->NinjaTrader 7 folder, does the issue persist?

What Windows version do you have?
