NT Freezes When Entering Orders Very Quickly

I can enter orders rapidly (press the buy market/sell market button very quickly) with no problems in the sim account. When I use a live account and do the same thing it freezes.

Any thought on this?

Please look into this issue and test. It is not a performance issue... it is a bug with Ninja Trader.

The exact cause is when you enter buy or sell orders directly into the static super DOM ladder. You can enter orders as fast as you want as long as you don't use the same price twice in a row. If you enter an order "at the market" (i.e. a limit order to buy above the market or to sell below the market) and it gets filled immediately and then you do it again at the same price it will freeze.

Please test and fix this issue since it can be reproduced and causes Ninja Trader to freeze EVERY TIME.

I use XP with service pack 3. I have an Intel Core Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.41 GHZ. I have 4 Gig of RAM. I use esignal for data and IB as my borker. The Workspace is simple as I only use Ninja Trader for order entry I just use the static DOM Ladder and a 5 minute chart with yesterdays HLC.

Please test this issue and tell me the results.

Please go to Tools->Options->check "Show diagnostics tab". Then on the Control Center, go to that tab and make sure only these ones are checked: Connect, Order, to file only.

That's a strange one. Some questions to isolate the cause of trouble:
a) as NT freezes, would it be locked up "infinitely" or would be responsive again after a while?
b) would this happen on "all" instrument or just on particular ones
c) I suppose you are on latest 6.5.1000.8, correct?

I just tested and it is not reproducible on my Esignal Sim101 account. Works as I hoped it would when I have IB connected.

Open up a ststic super DOM ladder. Enter symbol YM June. Begin to rapidly buy above the market with a limit order hitting the same square/price in the DOM. Ninja Trader will freeze up.

This has happened to me numerous times. At least a few times a week. I usually enter limit orders in the DOM away from the market but when there is some big news and I try buying many contracts through this method it freezes every time.
