Connection problem after upgrades

In order to bring everything up to date I updated NT to 5.2.1000.4 and Microsoft.net to 2.0.

Both installations seemed to work fine. I then opended NT and tried to connect to my IB account. It opened TWS fine but then is just hanging and not connecting to it. There is no error message.

I have re-booted but it does the same.

I have not upgraded TWS and have version 860.9

Any help gratefully received.

Ok - I have uninstalled .net 2.0 and installed .net 1.1.

That has fixed the connection problem but I am a little confused because I was prompted to upgrade by Ray's email about NT6 beta testing which said .net 2.0 was needed.

Please can you clarify?

- NT5 requires .NET 1.1.
- NT6 requires .NET 2.0.
- You can have installed both on the same machine.

However, .NET 2.0 does not (!) replace .NET 1.1 which you still will need as you run NT5.
