PreDefined Instruments

Hi,

Is there a place where I can downloaded instrument definitions for stocks, indexes, forex and futures.

I only seem to have futures predefined in my instrument manager.

It seems crazy to have to manually define each new instrument for sysmbols that many people need.

I am sure I am missing something.

Hi mjuviler,

When you are connected to a live datafeed, NinjaTrader will show you what categories are currently available through this specific feed.

So to see what instruments are predefined follow this steps -

Please disconnect (File > Disconnect > Your connection) from your broker / datafeed.

Then bring up the Instrument Manager (Tools > Instrument Manager) and select the symbol type you want to look up in the 'type' box under 'Available Master Instruments'.

Now enter a ' * ' in the name and description field and hit 'Search'.

Then browse all the available master instruments for this category.
