Orange Number Box

I closed a long position. After closing there was still a limit buy order indicated: the number box (showing 1 order) was in orange. This still remains even after pressing "Flatten Everything" in the Control Panel. Can you explain what this is & how to deal with it? Thanks

Most likely, this is a ghost order. If the order was submitted to your live account, please contact your broker to check if the order is listed on their end. Restart NinjaTrader and check if the ghost order is removed.

If the order is submitted to the sim101 account, please reset the sim101 account to remove the ghost order.

You can reset the sim101 account at Tools-->Options-->Simulator-tab and click Reset. More information can be found at the link below.

Thanks Jason, but can you tell me what a "ghost" order is? Also, as this has happened I would like to know if the "Flatten Everything" function in the Control Panel can ever fail to cancel an order. Thanks in advance

The order is displayed in NinjaTrader, but does not exist.

The Flatten Everything command is not guarenteed. Please see the following link for further explanation.
