    Commissions not showing on Sim Account

    i set up a new sim account and am using the default commission settings and the commissions are not being included in my sim trades. FYI, this was not the case on previous sim accounts.

    Hello hdge4u,

    Thank you for writing in.

    When you assign a Commission Template to an account, it will only apply the commission values from that point moving forward. It will not place commission values on trades/orders retroactively.

    First, make sure that you put assigned a Commission Template to the New Simulation Account:
    • Go to the Control Center > Accounts tab
    • Right-click on the new Simulation account > Edit Account > Commission
    • Select the Commission Template that most closely matches your real Commissions
    Now, go to something like Chart Trader or SuperDOM > Select something like the MES 06-22 > Click Buy Market > Click Close

    Go to the Control Center > Executions tab, does the most recent trade that you just placed have a Commission Value applied to it?

    If the Commission Values are not being applied, go to the Control Center > Tools > Commissions > Select the template you are using from the Left side > Find the Instrument you are trading and check that it has a value defined. If not, updated it as needed.

    If you are still not getting the commissions, please send us a screenshot of how the Commission Template is set up for the instrument you are trading.

      Hi Clayton,

      Your explanation worked, but is there a way to ensure that a version upgrade retains the previously selected commission template for SIM, instead of the upgrade resetting it back to NONE?

        This should not be changed to None unless a Commission template is renamed within the installation, removed or if the account is reset. If you do see this going forward please contact our support team at [email protected].

          Hi Christopher,

          I don't think either of those situations actually applied this time, but I'll pay closer attention with the next upgrade.

          However, I did make a change to the Commissions Template. I manually added MCL because it was missing, and since it was again missing after the upgrade, I had to manually add it again.

          Please add MCL to the official commission templates, so that I don't have to remember to do this manually each time.
