Plug-in mode on connection

Hello,

I'm a NT7 user in which I trade an unmanaged approach algorithm. Altough I understand moving to NT8 is the logical step to take, I'm happy with how NT7 performs, as well as its simplicity, looks and feel. In short; I have no need yet to upgrade. Started the recoding once, but there are quite a lot of code breaking changhes to implement. So for now I prefer NT7 still.

NT8 has this option to enable plug-in mode in the connecton settings. NT7 hasn't. At least not in the connection wizard. At the end of the wizard there is a brief overview of the selected options, in c# format. So I guess these settings are somewhere to alter hard coded as well. I this the case and if so, where. Can't find it. If not, is NT7 even possible to have this plug-in mode enabled?

Thank you for your inquiry.

Plug-in mode is exclusively available for NinjaTrader 8. It is not possible to add this option to NinjaTrader 7, as this is something that would need to be hard-coded into the connection adapter itself. While we were able to program this feature into NinjaTrader 8, we no longer actively develop new features for NinjaTrader 7 because of it's age so it was not added to the adapter in NinjaTrader 7.
