Cumulative Volume @ Each Price

Why would they have an agreement that stops them adding the cumulative volume on DOM? Other platforms do this aswell, not just X-Trader. Stellar uses this as well, they have the volume on the side @ each price. They wouldn't have a reason NOT to add this, they haven't mentioned any agreements before. I mean, even IB has this data, which feeds directly into NT anyway, IB just have the histogram, but they don't display the actual number, just the visual bar, so the data is obviously there to enable/program in.

- A revision to our SuperDOM is slated for an upgrade after NT7. I am not sure at this time if it would be NT8 or a interim update on NT7. I can say that popular requests for volume by price and/or depth are features that are high on our list.

What? What says NT to it? I don't know, I'm waiting for them to reply. They posted the usual "pass this onto the development team". So thats why I originally asked how it was going, if the "development" team was doing anything about it.


Ahh I see, so we're still in beta stages of 7 and gotta wait till 8 before any upgrades come on the DOM, a small update at that. Time to find another platform until 8 comes out.

This "Cumulative Volume"-feature was first requested around 2005,
in the days of Ninja 5; there are dozens of threads concerning it in
this forum, so be sure that Ray&Ninja don't care too much...
They are more worried about attracting newbies with fancy charting
and don't have the actual trader too much in mind.

There are a lot off other examples which underline my point
(for example the TT-disconnect-issue at 12:00 AM and lot of
other things easily solveable but limiting the traders daily work)
which could simply overcome by just patching their code...
same with the crappy Jet-DB they used to have, i attached
a Oracle DB there and never looked back... well, that's the
good thing about Ninja, through .NET it's highly adjustable for
the advanced user... but this time should be better invested
while trading in my opinion.

Ray & Ninja, a shame how you forget the people who actually trade...
