Incorrect data loading for AUDCHF instrument

    Hello,

I am finding a strange behaviour that only affects one FOREX instrument: AUDCHF.

NT seems to load data correctly as you can see in the Historical Data manager in the screenshot I attached. But when data is displayed in a chart or the data that appears in the Orders window, OHLC data is always zero. Also, strategies related to this instrument do not work.

I tried to delete cache data, tick data and to restart NT but the issue continues. All the other instruments work smoothly.

    Hello guillembm,

Thank you very much for your post.

I have not yet been able to recreate this behavior. Regardless of the provider, I seem to receive correct OHLC information:

I suspect the instrument's mapping might be incorrect. To resolve this, please reset your instrument database.

To reset your instruments please follow the steps below:
    • Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed.
    • Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments>OK.
    • Restart NinjaTrader> Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Connect> Select your connection.
Please let me know, should you still notice this discrepancy even after the reset!

What are the consequences of resetting the database? What information is lost? It is not possible to reset a single instrument?

        Hello guillembm,

It would not be possible to reset a single instrument. However, the only information that would be lost with the reset would be any modifications you've done to existing instruments or new instruments you've added.

If you have not modified the current instruments, resetting them would not cause any issues.

Should you still experience issues after the reset, please let us know!

Will this erase the instrument lists?

Resetting the instruments in NinjaTrader 7 would do the following:
            • Instrument lists
              • Default instrument lists (e.g. "Futures" or "Forex") are replaced and reset
              • Custom instrument lists (e.g. "My Favorites") are unaffected
            • Instruments
              • Default instruments (e.g. ES, NQ, AAPL, EURUSD) are replaced and reset, including their symbol mapping
              • Custom instruments (e.g. any custom-created stock symbols) are unaffected
Don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions!
