Basic question about Sim trading

Hey all,

I just started trying out NT, and my question is this: I'm using the free version of NT at the moment, and I want to try some Sim trading. If I place orders in the free version, I assume they are routed to the Sim trader instead of actual Interactive Brokers account? I just don't want to have my trades become real at this point!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Hello,

If you have a license key entered into Help>License key that starts with @SIM you can only trade in sim mode.

If you have a live license entered (that you purchased) you will have the option to lock the platform into sim mode (check Global Simulation Mode under File) or toggle between your live and sim accounts (uncheck Global Simulation Mode under File).
