    Market Replay

When you set market replay to record is it recording from an open chart or does it also record data from an open super DOM?
Can you replay the time frame which was open during recording as well as other time frames ie if you record with a chart using one minute bars can you replay in 30 min time frame. If you record using tick data can you replay in higher time frames?

    Thanks

    Craig

    Hello,

It will record anything that gets live data. Tip: a popular way to save screen real estate is to record using the market analyzer.

Yes, you can pull up any interval setting.

Does the recording require much physical memory?
For one instrument that you record for 24 hours how much dics space approximately would be required?
After a while is it an easy process to delete old recording if space is an issue?

      Thanks

        Hello,

        >>Does the recording require much physical memory?

        Yes.

I do not know. I recommend testing it and see.

Yes, go to Documents>NinjaTrader 6.5>db>data and delete the data you want to remove.

I just recorded 5 hours last night and the folder was 85K in size. So, "No" they do not take up a lot of space. As an added bonus, since they are ASCII data, they should compress substantially with WinZip should you like to archive old replay data.

          Hope this answers your questions.

            Hi Folks:

I am a new NT user, and I would love to apply the templates I am developing against a few months of ES market replay data.

If these files are sized to the small side, and easily shareable across NT users, then is there a repository of replay files somewhere? I have searched NT websites and googled etc, and I cannot find a source.

If there isn't one, does anyone out there have the last few months of ES in NT replay file format? Perhaps we could share ideas and indicators?

            Thanks in advance

            Bannor

              Hello,

Yes, you can find replay data in Documents>Ninjatrader 6.5>db>data, then open the folder that has your data for that day. The folder name is the date it was recorded.

                Ben:

I am not trying to find Market Replay Data that I have recorded. I am trying to find older dates that other people have recorded, that they could share with me.

As I had stated, I am new, so I have had the Market Replay checkbox checked for 3-4 days. It would be extremely helpful to review many days past.

                "Repository".

                B

For Replay files from June and July, yes.

I would prefer to work with Replay files from the last, say, 6 months ish . . .

                        where to download more file

Hi, I downloaded the files from korthrun website (great work! I'll upload my few sessions, 3 days only). I wonder where can I get more files. Maybe 1 year or so would be fine.

                        Thank you

Does anyone knows what time zone where these files recorded so I can have an idea where the ES session begins?

                          Thank you so much.

Just plot volume & it will be obvious where 8:30 lies.
