tws demo

I have connected NT to IB TWS demo. I see that charts update only when IB is connected and if I disconnect and then reconnect again I have gaps in the data. Is there a way to get NT to update historical data?

Try Tools--> Historical Data--> Reload

Well.... I have forgotten to say that I have actually tried it. It is not active (i.e. it is in grey type and nothing happens when I click on it).

Have you tried selecting a different interval or changing the # of days back?

In addition please repair your database under Tools--> Options--> Misc--> Repair DB

Thanks for your reply. I have tried that to no avail.
It seems to me that it may be impossible to get historical data from TWS demo, as the demo is (for what I understand) giving last week or so prices. The link between price and the time that price happened may have been cut.

Do you think this may be an explanation? Are you aware of such problems with TWS demo? Is there any other way I can go about?
