Is there any connections to get end of day data for free for FTSE 100 stocks?

I'm not aware of a free connection that provides historical daily data for FTSE 100 stocks. See the link below under 'Understanding the data provided by your connectivity provider' which shows supported providers and what data they support. We don't have information whether FTSE 100 stocks are supported. Please check this with the broker/data feed provider.

Why did NinjaTrader remove the connection with yahoo?
This was a free way to obtain end of day data on FTSE 100 stocks.

Yahoo discontinued the service which NinjaTrader used to pull data. Yahoo connections are not supported anymore since May 2017.

I registered for the trial of IB.
When I try to connect in NinjaTrader I get 'Please check that TWS is running and configured properly (Login failed)'

But my TWS client is running and is logged in showing data

Ensure you have TWS version 985.1g which you can download under 'Requirements'.
