close open position with chart trader

I am a new ninjatrader user. Is there a way to close the position from the chart trader if I have an open position in IB already ?

Hello,

If the position shows up in chart trader just click on the Close button. If it does not show up in chart trader you will need to contact your broker.

Be sure you are on the same instrument and account that the order resides so you can see it in the chart trader.

If I have two positions/contracts, how can I quickly close just one?

Hello vickisb,

If you are in a long position, set the quantity to 1 and click the Sell Market button.
If you are in a short position, set the quantity to 1 and click the Buy Market button.
