Inputs Clarification using Wizard /Market Analyzer

In the "User Defined Inputs" Wizard window for creating a new strategy I can indicate a Fast and Slow line as per the instruction video. I wish to employ these parameters for a basic EMA Crossover strategy.

When I go to Backtest my strategy, the Backtest Window offers a Parameters default 7/14 Fast/Slow, which is different from my Wizard strategy-
Should I change this to my Wizard Settings?

Same Question with the "Data Series" default of 5 minute

Overall I would appreciate clarification of the relationship of these two similar inputs in the Wizard and the Strategy Analyzer Backtest.

Hello,

To clarify, you are looking to backtest the SampleMACrossOver strategy?

If so, you can set the fast/slow setting to anything you want. Most traders like to alter the settings and run different backtests to find the settings that work best for them. To find the settings that you feel are "best", try using the optimizer as well. Here is a link on backtesting:

The same goes for the data series input. You will have to figure out which interval works best for your, or is perferred. There are no "best" settings.

Generally speaking, the only relationship there is between the inputs in the strategy wizard and the strategy analyzer is that the default settings you select in the wizard are what will show as a default in the analyzer.
