Visual Studio interferes with Market Replay

I am developing a trading bot using NinjaTrader and its ATI to interface with the market. This works fine on the host computer but not on my development computer. The environment is XP running Visual Studio 2008 and the development code is C#. Whenever I use "Market Replay" to test a strategy then NinjaTrader siezes up, does not refresh its window but returns 0 for requests for marketdata. I have to use Task Manager to end NT since by this time it is not responding.

Is there a known incompatiabilty of NT and debugging with VS or Framework?

You can debug with VS. Please see the link here: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...ualStudio.html

Please ensure you are using a supported version of Visual Studio.

      Let me clarify.

      1. I do not use NinjaScript.
      2. I am using "Automated Trading Interface".
      3. I want to use Market Replay with data that I have collected during the day.
      4. My external application is debugged from within VS2008.
      5. I Connect>Market Replay>myData
      6. I use Subscribe to symbols and request MarketData.
      7. NinjaTrader 6.5 "freezes", i.e will not refresh itself on screen.
      8. My program receives zeroes from NT.
      7. I use Task Manager to force NT to close.

Is NT incompatable with debugging an external application?

No, it should not be. Unfortunately this level of programming is beyond the scope of what we can support here. I suggest you just start simple and strip everything away. Then just try to get your data flow working first.

Is it possible that ONLY a fully-licensed NT installation can be used for development of an external application?

Refer to threadHead where I note that I can debug on the computer that has the fully-licensed version of NT.

Please ask someone in the organization that knows these things.

There is no difference between any NT version in the context of what you are doing.
