i use the chart trader and use discretionary methods for entry. i want to use a strategy for the exit methodology. how do i do it. i used the strategy wizard to create one and compiled it successfully. how it does not appear on my ATM strategy

Thank you for your note.

In order for the strategies to be available you must have chart trader disabled, after disabling chart trader right click and select strategies.

pl clarify a little more. can i use chart trader with strategies. for eg. i want to initiate trade using chart trader. i then want to setup my trailing stops based following factors
1. 5% stop after it moves 10 %
2. 3 % stop after it moves 20%

i did look at the links which only shows how to enable or disable the chart trader.

Unfortunately it is not possible to enter a position using discrenatiory trading and subsequently manage the position using an automated strategy (Strategy Wizard). You would need to automate the entry as well in order to use an automated strategy.

You can use an ATM strategy for your exit strategy upon trading discretionary. Please see the link below for more information.
