Received a prompt this AM to upgrade to the new version ( .42). From the downloaded center was sent NinjaTrader.Install.Previous. Closed NT7 (64bit) and ran the install. The bin64 folder in now empty, from bin NT can be launched but it is of course 32bit. Why?

Glad to assist. Both versions should be included on the install if supported on the PC. Please try repairing the installation, then going to Start > Search to verify if you have access to both versions.
If not, go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Right click on NinjaTrader 8 > Repair.
