If i need to use NT just for charting with real data feed, can i stay with the free version?

I have downloades the free version. After i paid for the real time data feed, do i need any extra licencing procedure?

NinjaTrader is free for advanced charting, market analytics, systems development, and trade simulation. The only time you will need to upgrade to a live license is if you decide to trade live, in this case you will need to make changes to your license.

Free vs Paid version

I am very confused. I was told I could trade live with the free version the only difference being that I could not access ATM strategies. So, does that mean I would not be able to set up ATM templates?

There are two 'free' versions. The one you described is a 'free' version supplied by a NT affilated broker that will not do ATM, but could trade using the DOM and chart trader. It is technically not a free version because you have opened and funded an account.

The 'free' version described by NT support is one that will not do any real trades and is available to anyone even if they don't have an account with any affiliated broker.
