How can I check the latency on a CQG feed?

Hello DeskTroll, thanks for your post.

Depending on where you live, you can do a "tracert" command in the Windows command prompt to one of the CQG order routing servers. If you are in the US, you are using the Chicago CQG gateway, pull up a Windows command prompt and enter "tracert 208.48.16.200" to do a trace route to the server. The latency will be shown after doing this.

I did as you suggested and got this as a response : CQG-Inc.ear4.Chicago2.Level3.net [4.15.85.194] reports: Destination net unreachable.

This subject goes beyond the scope of support I will be able to provide on the subject. An IT professional would need to look into the specific issue on your PC. When I run the tracert, I am averaging 20-30ms for a response time, anyone in the US should see similar response times on average, given their using DLS, Cable, or Gigabit internet. A satelite or 4g internet connection would see slower response times.

Hi DeskTroll, I found another end point you can try:

tracert 4.15.85.194
or
ping 4.15.85.194

We know that the final address is from CQG, noting the ip address given back when the tracert is done, I would suggest pinging that address.
