FXCM and IB Data

How can you set FXCM for historical data and IB for current data?
I noticed when I am connected to FXCM first then IB, it uses FXCM for there current Bid /Ask but IB has a tighter spread and would like to use that, is this possible?

Thank you for your post.

In NinjaTrader 7, there is no method to set a preferred connection and the connection order determines which source is used for market data. Thus, if you are connecting first to FXCM, all forex data will come from that connection. More information about Multiple Connections in NinjaTrader 7 may be found at the link below;

In NinjaTrader 8, this has been changed. We've added the ability to set preferred data connections for both historical and real-time data based on the instrument type. More information about preferred connections in NinjaTrader 8 may be found at the link below;
