How can I place an order to buy at the open of the next day?

Unfortunately MOO (Market On Open) orders are not currently available within NinjaTrader.

Thanks for that. Is there any automation that accomplishes the same thing? Or is it necessary to be present to place a trade?

There is not an option to submit an entry order at a specified time within therefore the entry order would need to be submitted manually.

When submitting your order you can attach an ATM Strategy to your entry order which would submit your Stop Loss and Profit Target at the predefined levels with OCO attached.

The only way to have this achieved automatically would be by creating an automated strategy with custom programming.

For automation in NinjaScript you can see the following resources. You could get the first tick of the bar to do an action on the first tick or also get the first bar of the session if you used a less than day series.
