IB Connection woes

TWS: 887.2

Greetings

As of tonight, 10/22/2008 11:26 P.M. PST, NT is unable to connect to TWS. NT remains in the 'Connecting' state. I followed the instructions that was provided on this forum and switched to TWS version 887.2 from version 886. Unfortunately that did not remedy the problem.

The last time that NT connected to TWS successfully was on 10/21/2008 10:30 P.M. PST and this connection was maintained until 10/22/2008 7:00 P.M. PST at which time both NT and TWS were shut off normally. No changes to the machine or any of the software applications were made during the idle period.

Please advise.

Just FYI, I am running TWS 887.2 and NT 6.5.1000.6, and as of right now I can connect fine no problems, so this is probably something isolated to your side, if that helps.

I suggest to remove your current IB connection and recreate a new one using the instructions at the link below.

The problem mysteriously corrected itself overnight. All is fine now. The problem may have been with the IB servers.
