    Connection problem to Download Replay Data

    Hi,

    I'm receiving the following message when attempting to download replay data.

    Hello SilverSurfer1,

    We are not aware of any issues at this time. I've also just tested the download myself and was successfully able to download data in both, NinjaTrader 7 and 8.

    This error message could also occur if your PC blocks the connection to the data server, e.g. if NinjaTrader wasn't allowed through the firewall, or if your internet provider experiences issues.

    I would first suggest restarting NinjaTrader, if you still get this error message please temporarily disable your firewall to see if this might have been the culprit.

    If everything fails, please send me your log & trace files through the platform directly, we can then take a closer look at the error message and best assist further.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Mail to Platform Support.

        I have one more question. I'm trying to use "download replay data". It looks like it ran okay, but the log gives me the following message.

        Is the instrument, "RTY" available from the market replay server?

          As a test, I would like to try downloading the same data you are trying to download.

          What date for the RTY 12-20 are you trying to download?

            I was trying to download all data for RTY 12-20 from 01Sep - 18Sep.

              Was this Historical or Market Replay data. Typically Market Replay data is downloaded one day at a time.

                It was "market replay data". I was downloading one day at a time. Each time returned no obvious error message. But when I looked at the LOG later I saw the error messages.

                  Thank you for your reply.

                  Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into this item.

                  Please use the steps below to send them to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader[dot]com ATTN Dennis and reference this forum post.
                  • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
                  • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                  • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
                  • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
