Gold and Silver (XAUSD en XAGUSD) in Ninja Trader 7

Good afternoon,

Can anybody help me: I'm using NT 7 with a live connection form IB. Everything is working fine and I have all the charts that I want. They are running smootly.

However, there is one problem: I'm trying to get the charts for gold and silver (XAUUSD en XAGUSD). I have all the information from my IB-acount, but the charts won't come...

I have read that in the past there were more people having the same problem....

Can anybody tell me how I get the charts for XAUUSD and XAGUSD ? Which data and which specifications do I have to give to NT7? And which exchange?

Thank you for your post.

Commodity instruments of any kind are not supported in NinjaTrader 7 with the Interactive Brokers connection. XAUUSD and XAGUSD specifically were added as supported instruments in NinjaTrader 8 for Interactive Brokers.

Which gold and silver futures instruments are you attempting to view in NinjaTrader 7?

Do you receive any error messages on screen or within the 'Log' tab of your Control Center?

First of all my apologees for my late response.

I will use the Gold and Silver CFD's: I have the charts for them and they are helpfull to me.

In NT 8 I will try XAGUSD and XAUUSD. If I have any further questions I will get back to you.

Yes, I have heard about this problem because I regularly read different threads on this forum. However, I didn't know that you can trade gold and silver in Ninja Trader 7. It's fascinating. Moreover, I recently found an article about investing in precious metals on this site https://goldiramarkets.com/augusta-p...metals-review/, and I, having a small capital, really want to try to invest my money in the gold market. Unfortunately, I can't help you yet. Still, I hope when I start trading gold here, too, I will gain experience and help you if you still need help.
