Does ATM strategy need pc always on?

Hi,

After opening a trade that is being managed with an ATM strategy does my pc still need to be kept switched on? Will the ATM startegy still keep on working as planned (after the trade is open and ATM strategy is active) if my internet connection or my electricity goes off?

I believe the last stops you had in place at your broker when your computer went off remain ( unless you simulate your stops ), but they will no longer be moved by the ATM.

That is correct, the stops would be on your broker's server or the exchange and only the changes to the stops are stored locally.

So if you lost your connection your stop would still be there but it would not modify at the profit triggers you defined unless connected.

If you use the Simulated Stop then the stop is held locally until triggered and would not be on the broker server or exchange if you lost connection.
