Error saying NT7 can't connect to license servers.

I'm trying to run NT7 7.0.1000.40 and .39 on my Windows 7 virtualbox vm but I keep getting the connect error. I've also tried installing NT8 with same error.

Thank you for your post.

Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft and by extension, we are no longer able to support Windows 7 PCs. With that said, generally a message of this nature indicates that an antivirus or firewall software is blocking NinjaTrader from connecting to the licensing servers depending on what the exact text of the message is.

Thanks for the reply. I saw that on other forum posts and tried the suggestions but they are still not working

I also have it running on my host machine which is windows 7. It must be an older version.

Thank you for your response.

Unsupported does not necessarily mean that it will not install or run on the system, especially with NinjaTrader 7. However, Windows 7 no longer receives any kind of security patch or update whatsoever so we encourage an update.

So that we may look into the issue further, please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "ATTN Zachary 2664910" in the subject line so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
