CQG not updating

Hi, using the free CQG data feed with NinjaTrader 7 and the feed's not updating -
why not ?

Thank you for your post.

Using the Kinetick EOD Free connection only works for daily intervals or higher, and this connection only provides historical data and not live data for the platform.

If you change your chart interval to daily do you see data on the chart?

Additionally if you'd like to view live market data, I have provided a link to our site where you can request a free demo for futures and/or forex data.

Futures demo account credentials are sent directly from [email protected]. Please check your junk or spam folders for a message from that email address. The email typically takes about 15 minutes to arrive.

Also please note that the exchange has limited demo requests to one every 365 days. If you have exceeded this limit you will not receive login credentials.

Heath R: I don't understand what I'm being told in your post.

Yesterday and into last night NinjaTrader was working fine
when I opened the program this morning it was working fine
and charts were updating, now they're not —
what's the problem ?

Thank you for your reply.

It sounded like you are connected to the "Kinetick EOD Free" data connection, you would not get live data through this connection.

Are you instead connected to a demo account?

What instrument are you viewing in your chart/SuperDOM? If it is a 06-20 expiry you likely need to rollover your instruments to the current contract as the 06-20 contracts for most instruments expired today.


Please follow the instructions below to roll over the expiration date of a futures contract.

• From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools> Instrument Manager
• Highlight the contract you wish to rollover on the left side of the Instrument Manager window
• Press the '>' button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
• Press the '<' button and the instrument should re-appear with the front-month expiration date
• Select 'OK'
• Select the updated contract in the Instrument drop-down menu within your currently opened windows (Charts, SuperDOMs, etc).
