How to chart the DAX30 Index (not the future) using InteractiveBrokers

Hi,

I am trying to download the historical data of this symbol (DAX INDEX) using NinjaTrader7 and the TWS.

I am trying to do this using the symbol DAX (which is located in the default Index list). The symbol map of interactivebrokers for this symbol is DAX|DTB.

I receive an error when I try to download it. Please, can you tell me if I am doing something wrong? Perhaps the symbol map has changed?

Thank you for writing in with your post.

When I tested the DAX on our Interactive Brokers test account, I received an error message letting me know that the connection is not enabled to receive live market data for the DAX but delayed market data is available. If this is the error you got, you will likely need to speak with Interactive Brokers regarding your data enablement to ensure that you have live market data enabled for the DAX.

However, if you are still receiving an error upon confirming you are enabled for that data, could you answer a few clarifying questions:

• What does the error message report exactly?
• What version of NinjaTrader 7 are you using?
• Also, what version of TWS are you using?
