NinjaTrader Brokerage can offer accounts for futures and forex trading. An options account would not provide stock data. If you would like to use the NinjaTrader platform to trade stocks, you will need to open an account with a supported third-party broker.

The NinjaTrader platform can be used to trade stocks with either Interactive Brokers or TD Ameritrade directly. You can contact these brokers directly for more information about opening an account for day trading.

That's what I'm using now, IB and its data feed. However, I can't turn off the simulation mode on NT.

I have the free license and the IB data feed since I only need equity prices.

I only want to see real time data for indicators, don't want to trade on NT. Data feeds are slow

Interactive Brokers data is relatively slow compared to other feeds. Unfortunately this is expected currently.
