    Using seperate data and broker

If I only trade through 1 broker but I use another broker for my data feed. Can this be done and if so what type of license do I need.

You would need to use a multi broker license in order to connect to two connectivity providers that are used by the two brokers.

If you connect to eSignal, IQFeed, BarChart for data or any other supported connectivity provider that is a data feed only, you can use a single broker license.

      Greetings!

How would I find out which license I have? I use IB as my broker and esignal as my data provider. How would I set that up with ninjatrader?

      Regards,

      John

        Hello John,

You do not need a multi broker license with this setup, since eSignal is not a broker partner.

If you like to use eSignal to feed NinjaTrader with data, please connect to eSignal first and IB second. More information can be found at the link below.

I wanted to confirm that if I want to use IQFeed for the data-feed and IB as my execution broker, I will need a single broker license. IQFeed can not execute so that would make sense.

But the post is many years old so just checking.

            Hello aviat72,

            Thanks for your post.

Yes, a single broker license would suffice with this type of setup.
