Trend box

Hi, I'm new to trading and using NinjaTrader 7. My question is about the little trend box that pops up when after connection. What is it for and how to get it off the screen if you don't want it there?

I'm not sure what you mean by trend window, can you please send a screenshot of what you're seeing?


To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Hello Stormy,

Thank you for that information.

This indicates that you're connected to the Simulated datafeed, which gives you the ability to control market data that is generated on your account. The trend slider your seeing lets you control which was the generated data will trend when connected to this connection.

This account is not connected to live market data.

To remove this box you'll want to disconnect from the simulated datafeed and likely connect to a realtime data provider.
