Is it possible to obtain live ETF data on Ninja7? Thanks

Thank you for the post.

It is possible to get ETF data in NinjaTrader with a connected data provider that supports that instrument type.

If you are on NinjaTrader 7, Interactive Brokers is the supported option for equities trading, including stocks and ETFs. If you just want live data but not trading, Kinetick is another option.

In NinjaTrader 8 you may also use TD Ameritrade.

After connecting to TD Ameritrade, how do I add the ETF? I can't find them under instrument.

Thanks for the note.

ETFs are configured as stocks in the NinjaTrader platform. You can search for the name of the ETF you wish to view in any Instrument selector, such as when you open a new chart. If you don't see the one you wish to view, it is possible to add new instruments to the database.

Should you wish to add an instrument to your database that is not located in the preloaded lists, please follow these steps:

• Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments window.
• Left-click on the ‘add’ button that appears near the lower right-hand corner of the Instruments window.
• Enter instrument-specific symbol mapping, exchanges, and other information on the Instrument editor that appears. This information will largely depend on your broker or data feed provider’s specific settings regarding the instrument in question.
• Left-click the OK button once each field has been filled out with correct information.
