NinjaTrader 7 won't load

I have just (re)installed NinjaTrader 7. I get the splash screen for selecting the connection. After having selected Kinetick End of Day Free and hitting connect, the splash screen vanishes but nothing happens.

Trace file mentions file sharing violation.

I'm using Windows 10 up to date on Mac with Parallels Desktop 11. I have NinjaTrader 8 installed and have no problems using that app. (According to this forum post, both version can be installed at the same time: https://ninjatrader.com/support/foru...d.php?t=101821.)

NinjaTrader 8 was not running, though. I have Norton Security installed, but deactivating that does not make a difference.

NinjaTrader 7 is installed in the Program Files directory like normal and in the Documents folder of the Mac environment. The Mac user folders are shared with Windows through Parallels Desktop. This has not been a problem for using NinjaTrader 8 on Windows.

Thank you for your post, sorry for any inconvenience. We are familiar with this behavior with NinjaTrader 7. In order to be successfully installed and launched without issue, Documents folders must be unshared.

In addition, the current Documents > NinjaTrader 7 folder will need to be removed or renamed prior to re install.
