Execution path to IB: trough API or FIX ?

Perhaps a naive question cause I suspect that NT uses only IB-API for every event, functions, calls...etc but just to be sure:

Does NT use FIX or is it able to use FIX for executions to IB servers? I'm not trying to do HFT but I'm certainly interested to get faster executions.

If it's not still implemented in NT, it would be a great feature to implement, I'm sure this will be highlighted the product.

We use the API. NinjaTrader communicates with Interactive Brokers through TWS/Gateway only. FIX is not implemented. I'll forward your suggestion to the Development Team as a feature request. I'll update this post when I receive a tracking number. EDIT - the tracking number is SFT-3300.
