sorry if I'm being an idiot but my ATM menu on Chart Trader is grayed out and if I hit the parameter button the ATM parameters are also grayed out both for Sim and Live. What am I missing?

Are you using a special trial license? Is the strategies icon on your chart greyed out as well when charttrader is removed from the chart?
If both of these are true, you are probably not allowed to use these functions with your license.
