Cannot Login - Freeze on Parallels

Hello:

I'm trying to get the demo version spun up. When I start NT7, I come to a "Get Connected" screen. I select the NT Continuum Demo and enter the creds I received in the email. It appears to freeze, but I just noticed there is a very faint elipse that repeats itself. I've let it go for over an hour and still nothing.

I've checked the log and the last entry is:

11/20/19 4:37:01 PM|3|4|CQG.OnConnectionStatusChanged: There is a file sharing violation. A different process might be using the file. [ \\Mac\Home\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\NinjaTrader.sdf ]

Not sure where to go. Any advise?

Thank you for your post.

Due to a requirement of NinjaTrader's database, you will need to adjust settings in Parallels to disable the folder linking between the Mac OS file system and the Windows Documents folder to resolve.

First, I would suggest making a copy of your Documents > NinjaTrader 8 folder on your desktop to avoid losing any saved data.


Please take the following steps to reconfigure Parallels:

1. Start Parallels and select your virtual machine

2. Press the "Configure" button on the top

3. Under "Options", select "Sharing"

4. Uncheck "Share Mac" under "Share Mac User Folders with Windows"

5. Press "OK" and start the virtual machine
