VIX chart blank

[Timetrader]

Hello,

I recently downloaded the trial version of ninjatrader. I am trying to view the ^VIX chart, however, when I try to make the chart it is blank, with an error in the Log tab saying: "Failed to resolve instrument for market data: VIX is not enabled for real-time quotes or trading"

Is there anyway to view the VIX chart in ninjatrader? Thanks.

Is it possible to view the ^VIX in NinjaTrader as long as the data feed provider you are connected to provides the data for that instrument.

Who are you currently connecting to?

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately the Demo account will only include the most commonly traded future instruments. Indices are not included in the Demo connection.

Oh okay, that makes sense. So if I set up my account and pay for the live market data for the VIX then it should work?

Typically while creating an account to receive live data you will fill out a form for the data enablements you would like to receive on your account connection.
