Is there a way to cause NT7 to write out .ntd tick data to disk?

Hi - historical tick data is stored on disk in .ntd filetype files. Appears to me that the -current- day is stored in memory(and applied to charts/etc as needed). The only way I've found to generate today's .ntd files is to either recycle NT7 or bring up a new chart with a symbol not in use today, in which case NT7 will load from the data feed(IQFeed for me). This creates today's files.

I'd like to dynamically have the current day's files written to disk, so is there a command or procedure I can use to accomplish this, without having to recycle NT7??

    Hello AMATX,

    Thanks for posting.

If it's supported by your connection type, you may download the current day's historical data as an .ntd file by going to Control Center > Tools > Historical Data Manager > Download, then selecting the instrument, data type, and date range you'd like to download.

Below I have provided a link with more information:

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
