Scandinavian stocks

I would like to download and backtest some Scandinavian stocks, e.g. Norwegian stocks. Previously when using Yahoo Finance it was easy. I simply added extension .OL to stock tickers (for example STL.OL), connected to Yahoo Finance and downloaded.

But how to do it using Kinetic? It does not recognize this extension.

Alternatively, I have though about downloading via Interactive Brokers. Again, the same issue.

Thanks for writing in.

I am unaware of any such widespread symbol mapping conventions for foreign stocks when using Kinetick, we would need to look at each product individually to determine the symbol mapping. It is not guaranteed that we will be able to map every foreign symbol, but I am happy to assist in attempting to find the proper mappings if you provide me with the instruments you would like to retrieve data for.

Thanks for replying. Then I guess I will try to solve this issue myself (when using Kinetic - I think I know how to do it having done some "research").

But what about Interactive Brokers? Any idea how to identify tickers then? (this I have not managed to solve)

Thank you for you post.

In this case the best option to get the specific symbol mapping for International Stocks would be follow up with Interactive Brokers support. They will be able to provide the specific mapping needed to view data for these stocks.
