Detect user's actions

Hi there,
is there a way to detect user's actions?
For example, detect when s/he manually makes a sale or a bought when clicking on the respective buttons?

Thanks for opening the thread.

There isn't an out-of-box and supported way to detect user interactions with button presses. While it may be possible to override NinjaTrader controls, this is not an item we would provide support for accomplishing.

In a supported context, this could be done in NinjaTrader 8 but would still require advanced custom programming. Some ways I could think of to accomplish this task would be to add your own buttons for the actions that you would like to track, and/or use AddOn code to subscribe to Account based events so they can be tracked and monitored.

I'll include links to some examples we have on the forums that demonstrate creating buttons, and I will also link our publicly available documentation available for AddOn Account based events.

For NinjaTrader 7, there are several NinjaScripts on our forums that create buttons. These can be used as a reference, however it should be known that what is documented and supported for NinjaTrader 7 is far less than what is available and supported for NinjaTrader 8. I will link one script that implements its own buttons below.
