What was the solution to this PFG Connection problem?
I installed Ninja Trader demo license and setup a PFG connection as instructed in the e-mail from PFG Best and Ninja Trader. The PFG Trade Server connection status shows connected, but Ninja Trader Control Center still displays "Connecting" after more than 10 minutes.
I've previously successfully used a Zen-Fire connection to display minute charts for TF and 6B contracts. I stopped using it after my demo expired.
This post seems to have similar symptoms, I wondering what the solution was.

Thank you for your post.
Can you please remove, repair and recreate the connection to PFG.
- Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
- Then go to the Tools menu--> select Options--> select the Misc tab--> click Repair DB
- Restart NinjaTrader
- Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.
For recreating the connection please refer to the connection Jason provided earlier. You will want to make sure that you are using the correct version of the PFG API, and the most current version of NinjaTrader. You can find the version of NinjaTrader by going to Help-->About. The most current version is 6.5.1000.14. If you need to upgrade you can do so from the following link.
Additionally, you will want to make sure that the IP addresses you use to connect to PFG are correctly entered within NinjaTrader based on what PFG provided.Ryan O.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Connections recreated, still no change

The Ninja Trader version is current 6.5.1000.14, and the PFG Trade Server Interface was downloaded from your Accounts Connection - PFG website - that version is 1.0.434. The Account Number and Access Key have been checked several times, also the IP addresses for the Quotes and Order servers.
The error code that returns after a lengthy duration of the Control Center remaining in "Connecting - PFG" is 10053 Login Failed.
I have informed PFG Customer Service too with this information and they've more or less told me the same. Any ideas on how others may have gotten through this problem?

I had the same problem. and try uninstall ninjatrade and pfg api and reinstall them again. still could not solve the problem. btw, i am using NT7 beta 7.Originally posted by NinjaTrader_RyanOlson View PostHi,

Please provide the exact error message you have. Note that you have to plug in your account credentials into your PFG Account Connection. This has changed since before. Please open up Tools>Account Connection and make this change and then try again.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

I have the exactly same problem... I have the screenshot here. Look at it..
I read the install guide and followed it. I DID install the API file and put in all the ip addresses and numbers correctly but when I try to connect to PFG, it says connecting (look at the red box that I indicated) and then stops there and never responds... I asked my friend to try it and he gets the same problem too..
Honestly, your platform is too complicating and annoying.. Who the heck is gonna register program, install multiple files separately, put in all the ip addresses and port numbers and set all the options just to start a trading platform? AND IT DOESN'T EVEN WORK.... People just get disappointed and don't wanna use it anymore.
People want a trading platform that you can simply install and type your account number and password.

You can find these files at the following locations, please attach these to a return email:
Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Trace--> trace.20100322
for today. (trace.yyyymmdd for any other date)
Start Menu--> My Documents--> NinjaTrader 6.5--> Log--> log.20100322
for today. (log.yyyymmdd for any other date)
